Portrait information
If you would like a stunning picture of your family hanging in your home to preserve now forever, then book a studio or location session with us. We can either do high key photographs with a white background or (low key) with a dark grey or black background. We can use a variety of colours so you have any special requests do let us know so that we can source the colour. Where possible we can do these in your own home or at a local village hall so you won't have to travel too far.
For studio portraits we advise you to wear clothes that have as little pattern as possible (stripes make the camera do very strange things). What you wear really depends on the effect you want to achieve but bright block colours are fantastic on the white background, whilst more muted colours look good on the dark backdrops.
We don't tend to do much jumping around, tug of wars etc. that many studios do - it's not our style but if thats what you want then do let us know.
For larger family groups (more than 10 people) we often go to people's houses. Usually it's for a special occasion - birthday, anniversary etc. In that case we need a nice shady (if the sun's shining) spot in the garden. We can use props - blankets, tables, chairs to make it look more relaxed and to add a different dimension.
For this kind of photograph I wouldn't suggest bright colours or you'll often clash with the natural colours of the backdrop so white, cream and other netrals are great!
